Langtang
Langtang is located in the north near the capital of Kathmandu , near the Tibetan border. It has been declared a national park and numerous peaks are located in this region, including Langtang Lirun (7264 meter). One forth of the regions is filled with jungle. Oaks, chir pine, maple, blue pine, hemlock, and various species of rhododendron make up the main forest species. The variations in altitude and topography along with the existing forest provide habitat for a wide range of animals including wild dog, red panda, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, dear, and various type of monkeys. Rivers Trisuli and Bhote-Koshi form an important route for birds on spring and autumn migration between India and Tibet . Tamangs, shrepas, Gurung, and Tibetans are the main inhabitants of the region.
